I have to agree, that our problems stem from our sinful nature (the man of the flesh). We desire to have our will done and then will seek God when our backs are against the wall. Possibly we should listen to the scriptures that state, "Seek ye the kingdom of God first, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Everyday is a gift and a day of grace. As Paul describes we are at war within ourselves between believing we need to be in control and not relying on God. Our sinful nature wars against our desire to live godly. The Gospel though is the good news and it isn't only for the day we are saved, but everyday as God sanctifies us and we discipline our sinful natures. Tough battle, but one worth fighting, because we know who wins the war! The problem is our sinful nature.
